ASAMBLEODROMO HIPATIA

HIPATIA ASSEMBLY

For three years now, an open participatory process has been carried out in the Hipatia school of the FUEM and within this framework, different actions have been carried out that respond to the objective of transforming the schoolyard through a process of co-design and collective construction by the educational community.

This action was developed in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic, implying a methodological change and an adjustment to the interests of the moment.

For this, we proposed a device that works for an interior space, since the lobby also became part of the courtyard and is in turn an open classroom. As this transit space is covered and conditioned, the device we created served to inhabit it in multiple ways. This octahedron can be freely grouped in the space or configure an assembly-drome when all the elements are put together.

In a final phase, an open call was made among high school art students to propose different ways of intervening and tuning the device. This process finally resulted in a proposal and was intervened by these same students to give a final customization.
